CORNING POLICE ACTIVITIES LEAGUE PRESENTS THE `BATTLE FOR THE BADGE` YOUTH WRESTLING TOURNAMENT SATURDAY, JANUARY 2ND, 2016 CORNING UNION HIGH SCHOOL, 643 BLACKBURN AVE, CORNING, CA 96021 Divisions: K-2nd, 3rd-5th (no 6th-8th graders), plus an ALL GIRLS division Weight Classes: 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 76, 83, 89, 95, 103,112, 116, 122, 128, 135, 142, 168 max Registration: $12 per wrestler, payable at the door. NorCal Jr High Section teams will register as a team, and submit a completed roster no later than 8 PM on Wednesday, December 30th; wrestlers not part of the Section will register independently via TrackWrestling. Walk-Up registrations will be accepted, but we encourage you to preregister to allow us to better run this tournament. Admission: $4 for Adults, $2 for Kids, Children 3 & Under are FREE Format: Line bracketed, double elimination tournament. We will be utilizing TrackWrestling software for this tournament, allowing you to follow along electronically. Weigh In: Mandatory Onsite Weigh-in from 6:00-8:00 AM Schedule: 9:00 AM- Coaches Meeting 9:15 AM- Special Opening Ceremonies 9:30 AM- ?K-2nd? Grade Division wrestling starts 10:30 AM- Both the ?3rd-5th? and ?All Girl? Divisions will begin (PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL START ON TIME) Bracket Awards: Medals for 1st-3rd MVP Awards: Shirts for MVPs in the K-2nd (2), 3rd-5th (2) and Girls (1) Division Team Awards: Team Trophies for the top three teams Concessions: Open all day, Complimentary ?Coaches Room? Additional Notes: We are expecting several out of area teams for this tournament, including clubs from the Sacramento and Coastal Mountain areas, as well as from other parts of the state. Girls can register in both the ?All Girl? and regular divisions for $20. You do not need a USA or SCWAY card to wrestle. Weight classes may be pooled using the 10% rule in each division if necessary.
