8th Annual Selma New Years Bash Date: Saturday, January 2nd (6th-8th) and Sunday, January 3rd (K-5th) Place: Selma High School, 3125 Wright Street, Selma, CA 93662 Rules: National Federation High School Rules (minimum rest between matches and maximum number of matches in a day not in effect). Head gear required for all age groups. Entry Deadline: Registration must be completed/paid by 9 p.m., Thursday, December 31st . Online registration at: www.trackwrestling.com Fee: $15 for Elementary and $20 for Middle School until November 30th. $20 for Elementary and $25 for Middle School after November. Fee must be prepaid on-line. $30 on-site registration at weigh-ins. Admission: $5 for anyone 12 yrs and older. Free for under 12. Format: Collegiate style. Double-elimination. No Seeding - Wrestle back for true 2nd. All referee decisions are final. All protests to be directed to tournament directors. All matches will be wrestled straight through, including finals. Weights: K-1st Grade: 37, 40, 43, 49, 55, 61, 67, 73, 73+ 2nd-3rd Grade: 43, 49, 55, 61, 67, 73, 79, 85, 91, 91+ 4th-5th Grade: 52, 58, 64, 70, 76, 82, 88, 94, 100, 110, 120, 130, 130+ 6th-8th Grade: 72, 77, 83, 89, 95, 100, 106, 112, 118, 126, 134, 142, 153, 167, 185, 215, 265 Time Periods: K-5th Divisions: 60 seconds per period: including consolation and finals. OT-NFHS rules. 6th-8th Division: 90 seconds per period: OT-NFHS rules. Awards: Custom award for 1st place. Custom medal for top 4 in each weight class. Award for outstanding wrestler in each division. Outstanding wrestler award based on champion with the most pins in the shortest amount of time. Team trophy for top 2 teams in tournament, K-5th divisions combined and 6th-8th division. Only highest scorer per weight class for each team will accumulate team points. Coaches: Coaching bands will be enforced. Teams with 5 or fewer wrestlers will receive 1 band. Teams with 6 to 10 wrestlers will receive 2 bands. Teams with more than 10 wrestlers will receive 3 bands. Additional coaching bands will be sold at $10 each. Weigh-Ins: 6th-8th: 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, January 1st. K-5th: 6:30-8 p.m. Saturday, January 2nd. **No satellite weigh-ins. Wrestling: 6th-8th: Begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 2nd. K-5th: Begin at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 3rd.
