Saturday: Wrestling will begin at 9 am.
The Championship Round will be wrestled as soon as we get to it.
At 3:45 & 5:45, before Friday sessions start there will be a ?Parade of Teams? please have all of your wrestlers in team apparel and wrestling shoes ready to run-out and represent your team.
Friday night we will begin wrestling @ 4PM with 4th - 6th grade division and wrestle through three rounds of championship and three rounds of consolation. 7th - 9th grade division will start @ 6 PM and wrestle through three rounds of championship and three rounds of consolation.
Saturday both 4th - 6th and 7th - 9th divisions will start @ 9 AM and wrestle through finals.
A weight class with only two wrestlers will not wrestle until the finals. The tournament is of course, double elimination. ALL rounds are 1 minute 30 seconds. They will be wrestled on 10 mats. Matches will be scheduled by bout # through trackwrestling. All bout #?s will be posted on bracket sheets located on the upper deck. Each clock will show current bout # being wrestled. The only reason a wrestler should have his weight pass in the round without wrestling is if he/she has been beaten out of the tournament, he/she has a bye, or he/she is in the finals. Do not leave Friday night until you are sure you are finished wrestling, if you leave early your matches will be forfeited, we will NOT come back and wrestle them Saturday.
The finals will be held Saturday by division as soon as we get to it, by weight class. Only two coaches allowed per corner. No video, media, stat girls or etc will be allowed on the floor.
Individual Awards
The separate divisions are for individual placing only. Wrestlers will be placed 1st - 6th in each weight and awarded a custom medal. Champions will receive a T-shirt and a custom made bracket template for their weight class.
Team Awards
The Middle School and Jr. High divisions will be combined for team awards. Team points will be calculated based on the highest placer in each of the 50 weights to give one overall state championship in each of the classifications (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A). The tournament team points will be an accumulation of activity, advancement, and placement points. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each classification will be presented.
