TO: Coaches and Activities Directors FROM: Phil Truax & Dan Fox RE: DCS Wrestling Tournament on January 10, 2015 1. This meet will run as a pool-type meet this year. We will place wrestlers in pools and round robin to determine places. When there are too many wrestlers to wrestle head to head, multiple pools will be created, with the winners etc. advancing to brackets or 1 match contest to determine winners at each weight class. 2. Entry fee for this meet is $50.00 per team. 3. Pool selection meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. MST. Tie-breaking criteria for the seeding meeting will be head to head, and common opponents and record in that order. 4. Official weigh-ins will be from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. MST in the weight room. The pool selection meeting will be held from 9:00 until 9:30 a.m. MST in Room 206. 5. Teams invited/competing will be Lexington JV, Hershey JV, Hitchcock County, Dundy County Stratton, Maxwell, Wray, CO JV, Rawlins Co., KS JV, and Stratton, CO, and Wauneta-Palisade 6. Officials will be Terry Pfeiffer and Kent Brill. 7. I do not believe anyone has a meet scheduled the night prior so wrestlers will not receive any additional growth allowance except the 2 pound growth allowance for this meet. Nebraska schools remember that your wrestlers must follow their weight management plan which may not include any allowances. 8. Admission will be $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for students, and $10.00 for a family arriving together. Bus drivers, cheerleaders in uniform and sponsors will be admitted free. Conference and faculty passes will be honored. 9. Please use the following link to enter your wrestlers for the tournament. Locker rooms will be assigned upon arrival. Sharing will be necessary; please don?t leave anything of value behind in the locker rooms. 11. Coolers will not be allowed in the gym. We recommend that teams eat in the commons area or in the multi-purpose room. 12. Lunch will be available to meet workers and coaches in room 206 around 11:30. Please make sure that wrestlers and mat persons stay out of this area. 13. Plaques will be awarded to the winning team and to the runner-up. Medals will be awarded for 1st through 4th place in each weight division.
