Nolensville High School 1600 Summerlyn Dr. Nolensville TN 37135 JV State Tournament WHEN: Saturday January 27th, 2018 Weigh Ins at 7am Wrestling Starts at 8:30 for JV. COST: $100 per team for up to 14 wrestlers, then 10 per wrestler over 14. This fee includes 2 coaches hospitality wrist bands, each additional coach will be $10. Only wrestlers and coaches with wrist bands will be allowed on the floor. REGISTRATION: Submit rosters by Wednesday Jan 24th 10pm. (Via Trackwrestling) After the 25th I will only accept drops and changes, no additions. Email all changes ASAP. SCHEDULE: Weigh-ins at 7am (each weight will be +2 from the after Christmas weigh allowance; no additional weight will be given) Wrestling starts at 8:30am (6 mats) INFORMATION: You may enter more than one in a weight class (JV only). Coaches will enter wrestlers in Trackwrestling. Instructions will be provided via email. There will not be any seeding in the JV State. I May split weights to keep less than 16 in a bracket. The girls? regional tournament will be seeded 16 girl bracket. Both Tournaments are Double elimination (with the exception of a JV State round robin) Weight Classes for JV are normal except for the addition of a 97 pound class (99 with the +2) AWARDS: Awards to top 4 finishers in each weight class. I will do changes until Friday. After that only scratches. Can I bring a varsity wrestler with a losing record? This tournament is meant to be the last chance for a win in the season. If you think that this is the best place for them then bring them. Can I bring a JV Senior? Yes you can bring any JV (guys that will not be wrestling at Regionals) Do I need to bring Weigh in Sheets? No (I will provide them) When will this tournament Start? I will post bout numbers at 8:30 and the whistle blows at 9am sharp. Do you seed the JV? No, well kind of. Please rank you boys from beginner to advanced and the computer will separate them. Can I bring my scales? yes, but only if you are hear before 7am. Please let me know if you can bring yours to speed up weigh ins. How do you split the brackets for weights with over 16 guys? The computer does it, first is splits the same team guys, then it splits an even number of ranked wrestlers. There may be 2 125 brackets a 125A and a 125B. When is the boys scratch meeting done? It is done when you bring me the weigh in sheet. Brackets will continue to be updated online for the scratch meeting. My kid missed the bus can you scratch him? Sure, just text me any odd changes ASAP, the sooner I get them the quicker we start the tournament.
