Dear Coaches/AD,
We are pleased to have your wrestling team accept our invitation to the Bonanza Invitational Wrestling Tournament on January 17th, 2015. We are anticipating a great tournament. Last year`s field included many outstanding wrestlers who placed at the district, regional and state levels.
I. Entry Fee: $110.00 or $15 per wrestler, up to 6, payable to: Bonanza Wrestling. Please mail as soon as possible to: Bonanza High School, P.O. Box 128, 31601 Mission Street, Bonanza, OR 97623 or bring the entry fee with you to the tournament.
II. Schedule for Thursday, January 15th & Friday, January 16, 2015.
A. We are planning on sending out invites via Track Wrestling so you can enter you own wrestlers information on Tuesday, 1/13/2015. However, if you prefer you can submit an e-mailed or faxed printed line-up and seeding criteria by 9:00pm on Thursday, January 15, 2015. For seeding criteria please list by: 1. State placement 2. District/Regional placement 3. 2014 Bonanza tourney placement. One scoring wrestler per weight class may be entered and additional wrestlers per weight class may also be entered. If you enter more than one wrestler in a weight class, be sure to designate who the scoring wrestler will be. There will be sixteen man brackets (pigtails will be used if necessary). Email rosters to: Russ Morris at Morrisg.kcsd.k12.or.us or fax to 541-545-1719 by 9pm on Thursday, January 15, 2015. On the line- up sheet, please place a coaches? name and cell phone number that will be available on Friday, January 16, 2015.
B. Seeding of the brackets will take place on Friday, January 15th at approximately 6:30pm. Coaches are asked to be available by phone at this time. Any adjustments due to missed weight, injury, etc., will be addressed at the coaches meeting on Saturday.
III. Schedule for Saturday, January 17, 2015.
A. Weigh-ins for all wrestlers will begin at 8:00am and will run until 9:00am. All Wrestlers will weigh-in as a team. All schools must be present and ready to be weighed by no later than 8:30am.
B. Coaches meeting will be held from 9:00 to 9:30am. Every Head Coach needs to be present by 8:55am so the coaches meeting and tournament can start on time.
C. Wrestling will begin at 10:00 am.
IV. Miscellaneous
A. Please inform your wrestlers they are responsible for securing their valuables.
B. Bring your own towels.
C. Trophies will be given to the first and second place teams. Medals will be awarded for first through third places.
D. Breakfast will be served from 8:00 - 9:30 am and the cost will be $4.
E. Our concession stand will be open all day for your enjoyment. Please help us keep our facility clean by depositing your trash into the garbage cans provided.
F. Our hospitality room will be furnished with all the great food as usual. We welcome certified coaches and officials to visit as often as you wish.
G. This will be our first time using Track Wrestling to run our tournament and as we do not expect to have any problems we ask for your consideration and patience in advance.
