Alabama Girls Championship February 6, 2016 We have a tremendous opportunity for girls in the Southeast. On Saturday February 6th at Vestavia High School, we will be holding our Alabama Girls Championship at 2:30pm. Girls from Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee are also coming. We will also have two exciting guests they will not want to miss! We are bringing in Team USA Member Leigh Jaynes-Provisor and Life University Head Women`s Wrestling Coach David Mathews. Leigh Jaynes-Provisor is the 2015 World Championship Bronze Medalist at 60 kg. She is currently training for the Olympic Trials. She is taking time out of her training schedule to come teach and inspire our young women. David Mathews is the Women`s Wrestling Head Coach at Life University. In just the program`s 2nd year, Life U placed 9th in the WCWA National Duals last weekend. Women`s wrestling is the fastest growing sport in the country and there are great opportunities to wrestle in college. Tournament Information Alabama Girls Championship Hosted by the Alabama Wrestling Chicks Saturday February 6, 2016, 2:30PM Central Time Vestavia Hills High School 2235 Lime Rock Road Vestavia Hills, AL 35216 Grades K - 12 We are pleased to announce that we will again be hosting an all-girls event, the Alabama Girls Championship, on February 6th for all girls grades K-12. Girls will be coming from TN, GA, MS, and FL. This event is privately insured and is open to any wrestler from any organization. There is no need to purchase an AAU or USAW membership card. All you need is a free TrackWrestling number. Waivers must be signed at the event. Registration Cost: $17 Deadline: February 4, 2015 at 11:59pm CT Admission Fees Adults $5, Children $3 Competition Start Time 2:30pm Central Time Brackets Madison brackets will be created based on registration entries. Accommodations For those traveling from out of state, we are offering families a free place to stay at the Warrior Wrestling Complex in Alabaster, AL. Bring pillows, sleeping bags or air mattresses.
