The Austin Hamer Invitational is Moody`s annual invitational wrestling tournament. The name was changed this year in memorium of Austin Hamer, a former wrestler and student at Moody High School, who was killed in a car accident in 2012. The tournament will be held on Friday January 3rd and Saturday January 4th. Weigh-ins will be from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm on Friday January 3rd and from 7:00 am - 8:00 am on Saturday January 4th. The tournament is a 16 man, double elimination tournament. We will wrestle the first two rounds on Friday evening, as time allows. On Saturday, we will begin with the consolation rounds and wrestle until the completion of the tournament. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place for each weight class as well as trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for teams.
