Merrill 6-8 Grade Middle School Wrestling Tournament Team Tournament Date: Friday, January 25, 2019 Location: Merrill High School Fieldhouse Divisions: Team Tournament (6-8 grade teams) Weigh In: 3:15 - 4:00 PM. We are planning on weighing in by teams. Weight Classes: 70, 77, 84, 91, 98, 105, 112, 120, 128, 136, 144, 152, 160, 175, 190, 210, and 285 (Schoolboy weights) The weights listed are the weight classes. There is no weight allowance! Brackets: 8 and 16 man brackets - we will not wrestle back to 3rd place in the 16 man brackets! Food: Coaches will be provided a coupon to be used at our concession stand for supper Individual Awards: Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Team Awards: Team trophies for the top three teams. -Team scoring will be done by WIAA tournament rules & regulations. Meet Information: Matches will be 2-1-1 in length on championship side of bracket and 1-1-1 on the consolation side of the bracket. -Tournament will be held on 3 or 4 full sized mats. -Coaches please fill out rosters on track wrestling. The tournament will be seeded according to record and ability. -Wrestlers not making weight for the team tournament will be allowed to move weight classes as brackets will not be built until after weigh-ins. But - remember you can only enter one wrestler at a weight class. -Coaches should fill the team tournament roster first before placing wrestlers into the mini tournament. -You should have received your track wrestling information already!
