We are going to do our best to honor the times published but the exact start times for each round may change based on circumstances. Weigh-ins: Weigh-ins will be conducted in the ?Square Gym?. Directional signs will be posted. We will be using 4 scales We will need 4 coaches to volunteer to man a scale and record the weigh-ins. Please make sure you being your OPC weigh-in sheet and any skin notes to the scales for weigh-ins & skin checks. Score keeping: At this time, the plan is to have the task of score keeping covered by Wissahickon parents, personnel, etc. But I am asking ALL teams to have a scorekeeper available in order to have back-ups. My preference is to actually use the team?s managers and have Wissahickon parents/adults as an observer. Score Clocks: Right now, the plan is to use the 2 score boards in the gym and 1 floor clock for the 3 mats. This may change depending on logistics, etc. Using the score boards will lessen the need for clock operators as Wissahickon personnel will handle them. If we do use 1 or 2 floor clocks we may need some help and/or back up, so if you know anyone who knows how to run those clocks, please let me know. Snack Stand: We will have a fully stocked stack stand for the event. Note: No food or drink will be allowed in the gym for consumption in the stands. Wrestlers will be allowed to have food & drink in their respective locker rooms some of which will be inside the circle gym. Wrestlers will also be allowed to have drinks mat side for their bouts, etc. And I respectfully ask that no team bring coolers of food and/drink into the building. One they will not be allowed in the gym and two, one of the reasons that any team hosts a tournament of this nature is to raise some money for their program. And the most of the money raised comes directly from the snack stand. Coaches Room: We will have a coaches room as well. From what I?m hearing it should be pretty good! Each team will be allotted 4 wrist bands per team and the coaches with wrist bands will be the only coaches allowed in the coaches room. Medical Staff: We will have our Head Trainer (Peter Rooney) at the event along with another assistant trainer. Spectator Decorum: Noise-makers, whistles, and portable listening devices (without earphones) are strictly prohibited during the tournament. We are also going to strictly enforce that no spectator, parent, etc. will be allowed on the gym floor. Only coaches, wrestlers and staff will be allowed. We also will enforce 2 coaches to a corner with 1 manager/trainer behind the chairs. Please keep your team members in the stands or in the warm-up area which will be upstairs in the gym behind the bleachers. Contestant Decorum: All contestants must be dressed in school-issued uniforms and/or school-issued warm-ups while on the gymnasium floor and during award presentations and photographs. Hats, sunglasses, cutoffs, altered clothing or clothing displaying inappropriate advertisements, jewelry and other cosmetic paraphernalia are prohibited while on the gym floor. Valuables: With the locker room set-up, we will not be locking the team locker rooms and will not be able to monitor all activity, so please have your wrestlers bring a lock or take any of their valuables with them into the gym. SNOW DATE: Note: Sunday, January 27th is the alternate date should the tournament need to be cancelled for weather or any other issue. Please notify your AD?s of this and make sure you get confirmation that you can wrestle on Sunday. We will need 100% approval in order to do so.
