Top of Iowa Conference Wrestling Tournament

Seeding Meeting: Saturday, January 26th at 8:00 am @ Forest City Media Center
Based on feedback at last years seeding meeting we have made the change to SATURDAY MORNING
You will have until 11:59 pm on the 25th to enter your seeding criteria and head-to-head information.
Parking: Please park your buses and suburbans on the west side of our school. There is a gravel driveway on the north end of the middle school that you will take you to parking on the west side. Fans will need to park in the front of the middle school or high school. Additional parking provided on the south end by the softball field or on the plowed frozen tundra to the east of the school parking area.
High School Gate opens at 7:30 A.M. Middle School Gate opens at 9 A.M.
Admission $5 adults & students
Pass Gate: Will be located as you enter the high school entrance. Only people with valid passes (per IHSAA) will be allowed through pass gate. We will be honoring conference passes.
Programs will be sold for $1
Weigh-ins will begin at 8 AM in the High School Wrestling Room
After weigh-ins tables will be available in the high school cafeteria for wrestlers to eat. Coolers will be allowed but must be stored only in the high school wrestling room for the remainder of the day (WE DO NOT WANT COOLERS IN THE STANDS!). Please do not plan on plugging in crock pots or electric grills as we don?t have the outlets or power breakers to handle those electrical appliances.
Cheerleaders: Six cheerleaders and a chaperone will be admitted free. Please enter through the pass gate. A classroom in the middle school will serve as the cheer room for this tournament. Cheer check meeting will be at 9:40 in the cheerleader hospitality room
Wrestling begins at 10 AM on Saturday, January 26
(National Anthem sung in both gyms at approx. 9:55 AM)

HS Gym - Weight classes 106-145
MS Gym - Weight classes 152-285
Round 2 - Championship Quarterfinals and Consolation Round 1
HS Gym - Weight classes 106-145
MS Gym - Weight classes 152-160
Round 3 - Championship Semifinals and Consolation Quarterfinals
MS Gym - All weights - Consolation Quarterfinals (front & back side)
HS Gym - All weights - Semifinals
Round 4 - Consolation Semifinals
MS Gym - All weights - Back side of bracket
HS Gym - All weights - Front side of bracket
Round 5 ? Place Matches
MS Gym - All weights - 5th and 7th place matches
HS Gym - All weights - 1st and 3rd place matches
Trackwrestling: We will be using Trackwrestling to score the meet. The TIC will be hiring Steve Kappos to run the software during the meet. Any questions for Steve can be emailed to him at swkappos@gmail.com. The meet is already posted on the Trackwrestling site at http://www.trackwrestling.com. Coaches will need to enter their wrestlers into Track by midnight on ThursdayJanuary 24. They will receive a separate email with instructions and passwords from Track Wrestling.
Locker Rooms Locker rooms will be provided however they will not be locked so do not leave items unattended.

Towels will not be furnished
Athletico Trainers: There will be a trainer in the high school gym and a trainer in the middle school gym from Athletico during the tournament.
Officials: Officials for the tournament are: Scott Whitehill, Travis Pike, Jay Marley, Gary Weber, Marcus Spotts, and Gared Stockwell
Hospitality Rooms: There will be a coaches, worker, bus driver, officials, hospitality room in the HS Library. Signs will be posted. The lunch meal provided will consist of pulled pork sandwiches and cheesy potatoes plus whatever Coach Staudt?s wife comes up with. Water and canned pop will be available. We prefer the canned pop not enter the gym.
There will be a cheerleader hospitality room in the family and consumer science room by the middle school gym. The main meal will be determined soon.. Drinks will be provided as well.
Concession Stands: There will be two concession stands. The main stand will be in the High School Lunchroom. The other stand will be located in the middle school. Again, we understand the tradition of parents feeding your wrestlers and will respect that to some degree but we will not bend over backwards for this. We ask that your fans not bring their own personal coolers into the venue.
Fan Seating: There will be signs posted in each gym where schools will be designated to sit. It?s not like we will be kicking you out of a spot but if a Lake Mills fan chooses to sit in the middle of the Forest City fan section and feels outnumbered or intimidated, then move to your own section.
Videotaping: All videotaping must be done from the stands. Batteries must be used. Tripods will not be allowed due to space and safety limitations.
Banners, Signs, Hoops, etc: Prohibited by the IHSAA, as per IHSAA Handbook/Website.
Awards: Will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournament. A picture trophy and header plaque bar will be awarded to the team champion. Medals will be given to the top five place winners at each weight. Wrestlers participating in the awards ceremonies are to wear only school-issued attire. Coaches, communicate this to your wrestlers involved.
