SEEDING MEETING: DATE/TIME: Monday, February 12th @ 6:30 PM LOCATION: Sutherlin Middle School, Room 1 (Behind Main Office) BRING THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WITH YOU TO THE MEETING: - Season record broken down by weight, Varsity-JV League - Your weigh-in confirmation sheets verifying number of weigh-ins - Statistics confirming win/loss records against opponents - List of wrestlers to be in tournament at weight - Once a wrestler has been put up for a seed he cannot be removed - We may seed 1-4 or the person who may have the fourth seed may choose to have the wrestler drawn in SEEDING CRITERIA: 1. Varsity League Record at weight; A. Based on wins at the weight class in which they will participate at the district tournament. Forfeits count as wins at all weight classes B. A wrestler must have at least two (2) matches, counting forfeits, at weight to be seeded. C. A wrestler does not have to take fourth (4th) seed. 2. Most recent head to head competition. 3. Common opponents in league. 4. League record at any weight. 5. Returning district champion at same weight. 6. Returning district champion at any weight. District Tournament: DATE/TIME: Tuesday, February 13, 2018, @ 1PM WEIGH IN: 12 PM MATCHES: 1 PM DISTRICT TOURNAMENT INFORMATION: - District tournament will be held at Sutherlin Middle School. - Tuesday, February 13, 2017 - Busses will need to park on 4th Street next to the softball/baseball field. Buses are not permitted to park in the bus loading zone until after 3:30 PM. - Weigh-ins will be 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm - We will wrestle on two mats - Scratch meeting for coaches 12:45 pm - Matches begin 1:00 pm - Concession stand will be open for the entire tournament - Be careful with your valuables, we will not be responsible for any losses - Admission will be charged. Please inform parents and fans. - Adults $3.00 - - - Students [K-12] $1.00 - There will be a hospitality room for coaches and tournament workers - Subsequent pages are designed to be distributed to parents and fans. - The last two pages are for your convenience in preparing for the seeding meeting. - School will be in session, so student athletes are not permitted to loiter on campus. They must remain in the gym area.
