FVL Youth Wrestling Tournament 2015 Friday, March 13, 2015 5:30 PM 1. THIS IS A PRE-REGISTRATION TOURNAMENT. Everyone can register and pay online by clicking the red `Pre-Register Now` link at the top of this page. THE DEADLINE IS 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015 Cost: K-2 is $7, Grades 3-8 is $10 2. Wrestlers weighing more than two pounds above the registered weight on Friday, March 13, may be dismissed from participation, lose their entry fee, and lose an award. 3. Brackets will be made on Thursday night, March 12, 2015, so that wrestling can begin without delay on Friday, March 13. No entries will be accepted after bracketing is completed. 4. To be concurrent with our school board policy regarding wrestling at FVL, elementary age boys and girls will not be bracketed together. PLEASE CALL if you have girls who wrestle. If possible, we will make girls only brackets if they are close in age and weight. 5. Starting time for all grade levels is 5:30 PM. Grades K-2 will finish by approximately 7:30-8:00 PM. 6. Age divisions are: (K), (1-2), (3-4), (5-6), (7-8). Wrestlers will be placed into 4 or 5 man brackets based on weight, grade, age, and skill level. 7. Extremely light or heavy boys may have fewer boys in their brackets, may move to a different grade division, or may have their entry fee refunded. 8. Coaches or parents of extremely light or heavy boys should supply information about the advisability of moving that boy to another division to wrestle. Rules for K-2: No Tears, No Points, Non-competitive. One three-minute period per match. 10. Rules for Grades 3-8: High School rules. Two ninety (90) second periods, each starting in the neutral position. 11. Awards: K-2 receive ribbons. Grades 3-8 receive medals for 1st and 2nd, ribbons for lower places. 12.
