'At UWSP, we are following all current NCAA SSI recommendations. With this being a large tournament, we are asking that all visiting schools attest to COVID-19 testing all unvaccinated members of you travel team (coaches, athletes, managers, ATs, etc.) within 24-hours of leaving for the tournament. If your institution does not have COVID-19 testing available, we are happy to test your unvaccinated personnel on the day of the tournament for a $5 charge per athlete that will be added to your entrance fee. We will have BinaxNOW COVID-19 antigen tests available. This is a self-swab test and results are ready in 15 minutes. In addition to that, we are asking that you please remind your student athletes, coaches, and team staff that they should not be attending the tournament if they are exhibiting signs or symptoms of COVID-19, vaccinated or unvaccinated. UW-Stevens Point continues to have a mask mandate for indoor activities. This mandate does NOT extend to athletes who are actively wrestling or coaches who are actively coaching in their corners during matches. Masks are required at all other times while in Champions Hall. Teams will have designated team areas within Champions Hall, we ask that you leave your food in those areas and limit eating to that area. Sports Medicine Information: UW-Stevens Point Sports Medicine will have an ATC as well as AT students staffing the tournament. We will have a physician on site starting at 9am. We will have medical personal at each mat throughout the day. Emergency equipment will be onsite throughout the day and EMS is on call. The response time is very quick (2-4 minutes typically). We will not have modalities or hot packs available for visiting teams unless physician prescribed. We are happy to provide taping services and wound care as needed. Please send your teams with a stocked kit and communicate any anticipated taping needs for your teams if you are not traveling an ATC. Skin checks are scheduled for 7am on Saturday morning. If you are traveling with your team, please let me know if you are able and willing to help with skin checks. '
