This is strictly a novice tournament. (Competitors must not have more than 1 year of prior wrestling experience.) The wrestler`s age is considered to be their age on the day of the tournament. Please enter the most accurate weight you can for your wrestlers under the weight class category during registration. This is an honor system which will be spot-checked during check in the morning of the tournament. If their weight is grossly different from the weight on their registration they will be moved into a different bracket. Please be honest during registration about your wrestler`s weight to help us save time the day of the tournament. A valid USA Wrestling membership card is required to wrestle. Entry Fee: $30.00 Registration must be completed and paid by midnight November 20, 2022. No walk-in registrations will be permitted, all competitors must be registered prior to the registration deadline. Spectator Admission: $5.00, Kids 12 and under are free Concessions/Shirts: Food will be available throughout the day. On-site vendor will have shirts for purchase. Format: Singlets & wrestling shoes are preferred, headgear is optional. Every effort will be made to separate teammates. Each weight group will wrestle a round robin bracket. Matches will be three 1 minute periods. Overtime will be 30 second sudden victory periods until the winner is declared. (We want the wrestlers to experience full, 3 minute matches, because this is a learning experience. If someone were to be pinned in the first period we would let them continue wrestling until the end of the match, however the competitor who pinned their opponent would be declared the winner.) Everyone participating will receive a medal, competitors will proceed directly to the awards area as a group once their bracket has finished wrestling. Weigh-in: All wrestlers must weigh in when they check in wearing appropriate wrestling attire (singlet or t-shirt/fight shorts) at the registration table. See arrival, weigh-in and start times below.
