Dear Wrestling Coaches and ADs:
We are looking forward to your attendance at the Sauk Prairie Eagle Varsity Invite and to the
Wisconsin Wrestling Championship Regional Series (open to only schools in Region 5).
Please review this information before the tournament.
Tournament Date: January 8, 2022 (Next years date: January 7, 2023)
Entry forms: Entry forms for Varsity and JV will be done via Track Wrestling
NOTE: Only JV teams from Region 5 will be participating in the
Wisconsin Wrestling Championship Regional Series
Weigh-in Time: 8:00am (All teams need to be present at 8:00 a.m.).
Will take place in Wrestling Room across from South Gym (see map)
Note: Every Wrestler will receive a 1 pound allowance due to
teams competing Friday night
Coaches` Meeting: 8:30 a.m.
Participating Varsity Teams: Badger, Belleville-Monticello-New Glarus, Beloit Memorial,
Columbus, Dodgeville, Ithaca-Weston, Madison LaFollette, Mt.Horeb/Barneveld, Mauston,
Pardeeville, Monroe, Pecatonica-Argyle, Poynette, River Valley, Rio, Seymour, Sauk Prairie,
Verona, Waukesha North, West Bend East, Wisconsin Dells.
Varsity ? Room 59/60 There will not be a seeding meeting associated
with the coaches meeting. This will allow us to start wrestling by
9:15 a.m.

First Round: Varsity ? 9:15 a.m. - South Gym
J.V. ? Immediately following coaches meeting (Est. 9:15am) - North Gym
Participating in J.V. Wisconsin Wrestling Championship Regional:
Baraboo, Beaver Dam, DeForest, Horicon, Lodi, Mauston, Oshkosh West, Pardeeville,
Poynette, Reedsburg, Rio, Ripon, Sauk Prairie, Waunakee, Waupun, Westfield, Winneconne,
Wisconsin Dells.
JV Officials: Paul Gorton, John Lehr, Ryan Lehr, Kim Smith
Locker Room: Your team will be assigned a locker room when you arrive. Please have
your wrestlers bring their own towels and locks.
Ticket Prices: $7.00 High School Students through Adults
$5.00 K-8th Grade
Bus Parking: Buses should park in the parking lot at the south end of the high school
next to our River Arts Center. (See map for details).
Main spectator parking is in the north parking lot.
Hospitality Room: There will be a hospitality room in Room 59/60. This room is intended for
use by coaches, officials, and administrators. Your valuables can be left
in the hospitality room.
Concessions: There will be concessions sold in the cafeteria.
Medical Care: An athletic trainer will be available in both gyms. Our EMT squad will be
on call. Sauk Prairie is also fortunate to have an excellent hospital close
to the high school.
Mat Space: There will be eight mats, four for varsity (in the South gym) and four for
J.V. (in the North Gym). There will be a large number of wrestlers so your
cooperation would be appreciated in keeping your wrestlers alert and
ready to wrestle. Please help us enforce the two person rule at
mat-side. All spectators will be asked to watch from the upper
balcony.
