CHAPMAN HIGH SCHOOL ?Junior Varsity? WRESTLING TOURNAMENT SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2014 Welcome to the Chapman High School ?Junior Varsity? Wrestling Tournament. We hope to make this an enjoyable tournament for everyone. If you have a freshman, sophomore, or junior that wrestles varsity, their varsity record needs to be less than .500 to participate unless they have wrestled very few varsity matches. If you have any extra freshmen, sophomores, or juniors in a weight class bring them along and we will try to get them into a bracket. Our goal is to get at least two matches for each wrestler. Teams present will be Abilene, Beloit, Chapman, Clay Center, Concordia, Council Grove, Ellsworth, Lincoln, Marysville, Minneapolis, Salina South, St. John?s Military and Wamego. Weigh-in: The weigh-in may be held in your home school as stated in the rule book. For those wishing to weigh here, scales will be available as per the rules. Please let us know if you are planning on-site weigh-in. Coaches Meeting: 8:00 am in the Health/Vo-Ag Room of the Middle School. Schedule: First round at 9:00 am. We will wrestle straight through with short breaks when necessary. There will be a 15 minute break for lunch. Rules: National Federation of High Schools Guide with KSHSAA modification will be followed. Officials Kent Smith, Jeremy Abell, Kris Upson, & Kevin Wolters Awards: Medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Team scores will not be kept. Dressing rooms: Dressing rooms will be assigned when you arrive. Each coach is responsible for team valuables. Towels will not be furnished. Entry Fee: $85 per team to be paid by February 15, 2014. Concession Stand: There will be a concession stand in the lobby of the gym. Hospitality Room: There will be a hospitality room available for coaches, school personnel, and bus drivers provided by our Booster Club and Wrestling Parents in the wrestling room right off District Gym lobby. Change to Entries: Please enter with instructions from Coach Sheets. He will send login and password for the coaches to send in entries. Changes will be made during the coach?s meeting. We ARE using track wrestling this year.
