All timelines and pertinent information for the BVAL Varsity Wrestling Championships Team Line-ups: Team line ups will be submitted to www.trackwrestling.com. All teams must submit team rosters online Wednesday, February 19, before 11:00 PM. Enter head-to-head criteria Wednesday, February 19th, 11:01 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday, February 20th. Any changes after this time will need to be emailed to Mark Delgado. Seeding Meeting: Friday, February 21st @ 6:00 PM @ Silver Creek in room #TBD. Pre-seeding will be done prior to the meeting. Coaches have final vote. Only coaches will be allowed to speak. Hardships must be presented at the beginning of the seeding meeting. Seeding Criteria: A Head-to-Head Current Season B State Place Previous Season C Section Place Previous Season D Tournament placing current record (recommend CCS protocol) E Overall record current season F BVAL Placing Previous Season G Coaches? Vote Weigh In?s: Teams can check in at 7:30 am in the Gym. Weigh-in begin at 8:00 AM and no wrestlers will be allowed into the weigh-in area after this time. No Weight Allowance (CIF + 2 lbs, 1058, 116, etc.) Teams will be weighed in on a first come basis. No coaches will be allowed in the weigh-in area. Female wrestlers will be weighed in the girls? Locker room. Coaches Meeting: Coaches meeting will be held at 9:40 AM sharp in room TBD. Two coaches bands per team. An additional band will be given for teams with 8 or more wrestlers. Tournament Format: Begins at 10:00 AM (approximately) 5 mats and 9 officials. Break down to one mat for finals. The gym will be cleared for the finals. Brackets: 16-man bracket with preliminaries (see example at www.trackwrestling.com). Please let tournament director know if your wrestler runs into the ?5-man match? rule, matchmaker will try and catch beforehand. Wrestle-offs will only happen for those wrestlers who run into the 5-man match rule. Date, time and place TBA. Awards: Wrestlers must be in uniform to accept their awards, individual medals and certificates. Hospitality: Coaches? luncheon will be provided ? tickets will be enclosed in packet. Miscellaneous: ? Concessions will be provided by Silver Creek ? No food, drinks or ice cooler allowed in the gymnasium ? An Athletic Trainer will be available during the tournament ? Showers available upon request ?
