Welcome you all to the 2018 Centennial League Lower Levels Tournament. Please share the attachment with your wrestling staff. This year?s tournament will be a double-elimination, single tournament. We will run 16-man brackets on 3 mats in the Main Gym. If there are more than 16 in a bracket, the extras will be pig-tailed in. Please have your team roster input on TrackWrestling along with accurate records for each wrestler, by no later than Friday, January 26th, 4:00pm. Please identify your ?extras?/non-scorers on your roster.Individual login and password information will be sent .
PARTICIPANTS: ALL eligible Lower Level wrestlers. Seniors will be allowed to participate in the tournament.
WEIGHT CLASSES: There will be a 98 pound weight class in addition to the other 14 weight classes (i.e. there will be 15 weight classes).
WEIGHT ALLOWANCE: January weight + 2 pounds (i.e. 106 + 2 + 2 = 110 lbs.). The 98 pound weight class will get no allowance (i.e. wrestler MUST weigh 98 pounds or less).
SEEDING: This tournament will be seeded. The seeding will be based upon a Wrestler?s record to date with a 15 match minimum (highest percentage). If your wrestler has not wrestled 15 matches, they will be given losses up to the 15 match level (i.e. wrestler has a 5-2 record (7 matches) ? 8 losses will be added to reach the 15 match minimum giving the wrestler a 5-10 record).
LOCKER ROOMS: Teams will be able to use locker rooms during the tournament. The locker rooms will not be secured during the tournament and other teams will be using the rooms throughout the day. Arapahoe High School is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
CONCESSIONS: The Arapahoe Wrestling Boosters will be selling food and drink items during the tournament in the Commons Area outside the gym area. A variety of breakfast, lunch and snack foods will be available throughout the day at various prices.
HOSPITALITY ROOM: A hospitality room for coaches, officials and workers will be provided for breakfast and lunch. No wrestlers or managers will be permitted in this area. Coaches, officials and workers are invited to enjoy the various items throughout the day courtesy of the Arapahoe Wrestling Boosters Club.
AWARDS: Medals/Ribbons will be awarded for places 1-4 in each weight class. Team trophies for 1st Place and Runner-up will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournament. In addition, there will be a Lower Weight Outstanding Wrestler trophy and an Upper Weight Outstanding Wrestling trophy.
