We are trying to get 12 teams this year. We will use whatever bracket get girls the most matches. It will depend on how we are able to fill out each weight class. We most likely be using round robin format. We are welcoming extra wrestlers if you have them. Extra wrestlers will be used as necessary. Extra wrestlers will automatically be placed on the opposite side of the bracket (if possible) Brackets will be drawn Friday morning, based on the seeding information that you provide. The entry form needs to completely finished on Track Wrestling no later than 8pm Thursday, December 6. Please include previous accomplishments that might help us seed your wrestler. Consideration will be given to state Medalists, state qualifiers and District Champions. Saturday morning, at the conclusion of weigh-ins, we will have a brief scratch meeting to make any changes in the brackets. Weigh-in procedure will be slightly different per the new procedures set forth by MSHSAA. Weigh-ins will officially start at 4:30 p.m., with the lightest weightclass and will continue up to heaviest weightclass. Any individual not present at the time of her class will not weigh in. (This does not mean that if a whole team is late. They will be weighed in) All participants will have only one chance at the scale. Schedule: 3:30 p.m. ? Scale is open 4:30 p.m. ? Weigh-ins begin 5:15 p.m. ? Scratch meeting 5:30 p.m. ? Wrestling begins, Breaks will be taken as mandated MSHSAA. 8:00 p.m. ? 1st and 3rd place matches. Awards will be made at the conclusion of all the matches. 9:30 p.m. ? Tournament completed. Awards: Team trophies for 1st and 2nd place. Individual medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
