VIEWMONT INVITATIONAL WRESTLING TOURNAMENT 2019 Date: December 20-21, 2019 Viewmont High School, 120 W 1000 N, Bountiful, Utah TEAMS: American Fork, Box Elder, Brighton, Corner Canyon, Davis, Delta, Duschesne, Evanston, Highland ID, Layton, Murray, Pleasant Grove, Ridgeline, South Summit, Timpanogos, Utah Military Academy, Viewmont, Woods Cross FORMAT & AWARDS: Double elimination individual-bracketed tournament. Individual awards to the top 6 placers in each weight classes. Team Awards to the top 2 teams in each division. Outstanding Wrestler Award in the varsity division. SCHEDULE: Wednesday, Dec. 18- All entries due on Trackwrestling (by head coaches) Thursday, Dec. 19- All seeding criteria including head-to-head wins required (by head coaches) (No seeding meeting. Seeds will be issued by Trackwrestling based on criteria such as returning Viewmont placer, state placer, W-L record, etc.) Friday, Dec. 20 1:30 Weighins (+2 lbs.) and skin check 2:45 Doors open for spectators 3:30 Wrestling begins (Varsity will wrestle on 5 mats in Big Gym from 3:30-conclusion of championship quarterfinals and consolation Rd. 2. JV will wrestle on 3 mats in the Small Gym and Mat 6 in the Big Gym from 3:30-conclusion of varsity matches, and then on all 9 mats until 9:30 PM. 9:30 Conclusion Saturday, Dec. 21 8:00 Weighins (+2 lbs.) 8:45 Doors open for spectators 9:30 Wrestling Begins through conclusion 1-hr. break for finals set up at conclusion of varsity medal matches Finals on 1 mat in Main Gym, start time TBA (estimated around 3:00 PM) JV Awards to be presented prior to varsity championship finals Varsity Awards to be presented at conclusion of varsity championship finals. ADMISSION FOR ENTRY: Adult/Student Tournament Pass $10 Family Tournament Pass $40 (up to five people from same household) Kids 5 & under Free PARKING: Buses are asked to park in the northwest corner of the parking lot but not until after 2:45 PM Friday. The school parking lot will not be open to the public until after 2:30 PM on Friday. Be advised that the parking lot will be busy with students and faculty leaving school until around 2:45 Friday. CONCESSIONS: A full concessions stand will be on site serving many foods and beverages. Cash or check payments only please.
