Council Grove JV Wrestling Tournament Friday December 17, 2021 Location: Braves Gym 129 Hockaday St. Council Grove, 66846 Teams: Augusta, Burlingame, Burlington, Circle, Council Grove, Emporia, Leon-Bluestem, Lyons, Manhattan, Royal Valley, Santa Fe Trail, Seaman, Wichita Trinity Time: 3:00 p.m. Entry Fee: $125 per team or $8 per wrestler Entries: Entries will be through Trackwrestling. Please rank the wrestlers: Good, Average, Beginner. (Max 3 per Weight Class) Format: Three mats will be used with multiple round robin brackets per weight. We will try our best to match kids with similar wrestling abilities. We will wrestle periods of 2-1-1. We will wrestle periods of 2-2-2- for the girls brackets. Weigh-In: Each school will weigh-in at Council Grove High School. Weigh-in will take place at 2:00 p.m. in Braves Gym. Each wrestler will be given a one pound allowance due to competition on Thursday. Awards: Medals will be awarded to all bracket champions. Bus Parking: Teams should be dropped off at the South Entrance and then all busses should proceed to the back of the Southeast lot. Locker Room: The visiting teams locker room will be assigned upon arrival to the school. Each team is responsible for bringing its own towels. Each school will be sharing a locker room with another school; therefore, Council Grove will not be issuing a key to visiting teams. Council Grove is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please secure any valuables. Hospitality: A hospitality room will be available in the wrestling room for coaches, bus drivers, tournament workers, officials, and administrators only.
