McMASTER UNIVERSITY INVITATIONAL WRESTLING TOURNAMENT Sunday, November 7, 2021 Information current as of October 24, 2021 COVID Protocols: Please see Appendix 1 for list of COVID related protocols and procedures. VENUE: McMaster University, Burridge Gym (Ivor Wynne Athletic Building) ENTRY FEE: $40.00/wrestler (payable to McMaster University) ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS: OUA University Athletes, who meet OUA COVID participation requirements Only. NOT ELIGIBLE : Unfortunately, no Club or High School Athletes permitted per OUA guidelines WEIGH-INS: Friday November 5, between 6:00 - 8:00 p.m (at home weigh-ins) REGISTRATION: All entries must be received via e-mail or Track Wrestling link by 8:00 pm. Please submit email entries using attached Excel Spreadsheet: Michelle Flinders (Head Drawmaster) ? mflinders08@bayshore.ca & Kevin MacLellan - k.maclellan@live.ca WEIGHT CLASSES: U-Sports weight divisions for Men and Women + 2kg allowance MAX PARTICIPANTS: Per OUA Guidelines, a maximum of 26 DELEGATES PER TEAM may be entered. Athletes = 12 Men + 10 Women ; Staff = 4 (Coaches and Trainers) Unfortunately, NO FANS will be permitted. MEN: 57, 61, 65, 68, 72, 76, 82, 90, 100, 125 WOMEN: 50, 53, 56, 59, 63, 67, 72, 76, 83 SKIN CHECK: Will be conducted by Officials prior to fist match. PAYMENT OF FEES: Sunday Morning at 9:00 a.m. START TIME: STAGGERED ENTRY BEGINNING AT 7:30AM WRESTLING TO BEGIN AT 9:30AM (1 Session only) Times Reflect Daylight Savings Time DRAW: Double Elimination, or Round Robin for Less than 5 AWARDS: Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd FOR FURTHER INFORMATION, PLEASE CONTACT: Kevin MacLellan k.maclellan@live.ca Appendix A COVID Related Protocols and Procedures 1. Registration a. Registration is twofold: i. Per McMaster?s Visiting Team?s Guidelines, Teams will complete their COVID assessment prior to arrival and provide OUA Group Attestation and Roster information to home team. Please email in advance to arcovid@mcmaster.ca. We acknowledge that an approved medical exemption with documentation is also accepted. This must be done 48 hours prior to the tournament. ii. Complete the Excel Weigh-In form, and send to Ashley Menagh. This must be done by 8pm on Friday November 5, 2021. 2. Arrival a. Once teams and registrations are confirmed, we will arrange staggered arrival times between 7:30am and 8:30am. Please do your best to arrive within your window. b. Please use the Bus Drop off zone to drop off the team, and use the designated doors to enter and exit the building (See Appendix B) c. Proof of full-vaccination, and a valid government issued photo ID is required for entry into all indoor facilities within Athletics and Recreation. Please have this prepared to show prior to exiting buses to make entry as quick as possible. d. All Delegates will be issued identification, which must be kept in their possession/ on their person throughout the day. 3. Competition a. Drop-offs have been timed to allow for all teams to have at least 1 hour of warm up time. b. Change rooms will be available all day in IWC. However, at this time showers will not be available. c. Wrestling to begin at 9:30am d. Face coverings must remain on at all times, except for athletes who are warming up or competing. e. Only two people allowed in a corner, regardless of role. f. All athletes not competing or warming up must stay in the stands. All coaches and therapists must also remain in the stands except for competition or match preparation. Masks required at all times in the stands. g. Between each match, foggers will be used to disinfect the competition mats. This takes approximately 1 minute and leaves no residue, so it shouldn?t be too disruptive. h. Unfortunately we will not be providing food for coaches and therapists. i. We encourage the use of Track Wrestling (mobile/ website) to keep track of bout schedules, rather than congregating in the Drawmasters? area. 4. Other Information a.
