Schools: Big Foot, Brodhead, Dodgeville, Edgerton, Madison Memorial, Madison West, Merrill, Montello, Oregon, Palmyra-Eagle, Pecatonica, Poynette, Rio, Verona, Whitewater
*Per the Dane County mandate, masks are required for everyone in attendance. This includes the athletes, coaches, etc. Wrestlers must be masked while competing.
Schedule:
7:30 am Weigh-ins AUX GYM
8:00 am Coach?s Meeting in the Professional Development Room/Hospitality Room
*There will NOT be a seeding meeting so please be sure to include all specific info when entering your rosters.
9:00 am Wrestling Begins MAIN GYM
Tournament Format:
16-person bracket, double elimination, 3 mats
Trophies for Team Champion and Team Runner-up
Individual Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
Trackwrestling:
Rosters must be entered by 3 pm on Friday, December 17th. It is IMPORTANT that you enter ALL of your wrestlers and seeding criteria into Trackwrestling on Friday. We understand there may be scratches on Saturday morning.
Team Area:
Teams will be assigned a table in the cafeteria for their items. Please do not take bags into the gym. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Coaches should check the team table before departing and make sure all areas are clean. There will also be assigned locker rooms.
Athletic Trainer: A UW Health Athletic Trainer will be present
Bus Parking/Arrival: Once athletes are dropped- off at the high school at door #1, please tell your bus driver to move across the street to the middle school lot. We can not allow buses to park in the fire lane or in the High School parking lot.
Admission: $7.00 PASSES ARE NOT ALLOWED Doors will open at 7:00 for teams. Ticket sales will begin at 8:30.
Concessions: Concessions will be sold until approximately 3:30. IF teams bring food, it must remain in the cafeteria. We ask that you please support our wrestling club by purchasing food from the concession stand. As you know tournaments are very expensive to put on and this helps offset the cost.
Hospitality Room: Food provided for coaches, officials, and event workers. Only people with a staff wristband will be allowed in that room. Please do not send managers or wrestlers into the room.
General Reminders:
Radios, Noisemakers, banners, and signs will not be allowed.
Only coaches with a staff wrist band are allowed on the competition floor. Parents and other spectators are required to sit in the bleachers.
