'SECTION 3 INDIVIDUAL WRESTLING TOURNAMENT INFORMATION Coaches, Congratulations on qualifying your wrestlers to the very first Section 3 tournament. We are excited to host you this weekend and I hope to answer all your questions with this email. Schedule Since we have teams from Cookeville to Clarksville and from South Nashville to Hendersonville, we will start a little later to allow for the commute. School will open at 8:00 am Weigh-ins 9:00 ? 9:30 am Scratch Meeting at 9:30 Wrestling to begin promptly after the meeting and any scratches will be considered forfeits in the tournament and there can be no substitutions. We will wrestle on three mats for the championship first round and consolation rounds and on two mats for the championship and consolation semifinals and placement matches. Hospitality Those of you that have come to any of the tournaments I have hosted know we like to take care of you in the hospitality room. It will be available to our coaches and referees. We will have 22 teams in the tournament. We will provide wristbands for two coaches. If you need an additional wristband, you can let me know. We want to have enough food and drink for you so please limit your requests to three coach bands. Bracketing The tournament is set by TSSAA with 1A v 4B and 3A v 2B in the top bracket and 1B v 4A and 2A v 3B in the bottom bracket. The format is wrestle-back to 3rd place. Gate There will be a gofan link available for this event as well as a cash gate. You can get the gofan link by going to the gofan site and searching for Hendersonville High School?s events. Once this has been set-up, I will also send you the link. Tickets will be $10. Please wait until Tuesday to look for this link. Seating We will allow spectators on the bleachers on one side of the floor and on the upper decks. We will have a warmup area for wrestlers and coaches only. We will not allow anyone to sit on the floor near the mats at any time. It is not required but it is suggested that teams locate themselves in the upper decks so that parents and fans can be in the gym floor bleachers. Our gym has great visibility, and we will enforce this so that all spectators can see, and the safety of the wrestlers, parents, and officials is ensured. We will have police on site to help with this Tee-Shirts There will be a tee-shirt vendor on site for those of you that would like to purchase a tournament shirt.
