2014 ZACHARY BIG HORSE OPEN and COLT OPEN TOURNAMENTS SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2014 Zachary High School 4200 Bronco Lane Zachary, LA 70791 2014 ZACHARY BIG HORSE OPEN ENTRIES MAY ONLY BE ENTERED BY TRACK WRESTLING. Please include records for seeding consideration. This is a 16 MAN Bracket double elimination tournament! Extra wrestlers/weight class may be entered and Coaches will be notified by email before noon on FRIDAY, December 19, 2014 if they will be on the bracket AT THE LATEST. Coaches please email me in advance if you plan on attending our tournament. Also Coaches, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR SCHOOL NAME, YOUR NAME, and A CELL PHONE NUMBER when you send me an intent to enter email. The criteria to be placed on the bracket will be: 1) the time and date the coach entered the lineup in the varsity lineup 2) One varsity wrestler per team 3) JV wrestler to fill out the 16 man. In other words, there will be no pig tail matches, and brackets will be filled first by the varsity wrestlers and then by JV wrestlers. If we have more than 16 Varsity wrestlers entered then we will go by which wrestlers were entered first. 2014 ZACHARY COLT OPEN Wrestlers will be entered the same as the BIG HORSE except a school is allowed to enter as many as entries as the 16 man bracket will allow. THIS TOURNAMENT IS OPEN TO ANY STUDENT in grades 6th through 9th. ENTRY DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2014 9:00 pm. ENTRY FEE for BIG HORSE OPEN: $10.00/wrestler ($130.00/team MAXIMUM) ENTRY FEE for COLT OPEN: $10.00/wrestler ($130.00/team MAXIMUM) Make Checks payable to: Zachary High School WEIGH-IN: for THE BIG HORSE OPEN will begin promptly at 8:00 am beginning with the 106 lbs. weight class. Everyone must be in the gym for 8:00. There will be no changing of weight classes at weigh in, only scratches. The Weigh In for THE COLT OPEN weigh-in will follow at approximately 8:30. WRESTLING: Will begin as soon as brackets are ready. There will be no breaks except to clean mats. ADMISSION: $7.00 per person FREE for Children five and under or Adults over 75 and older. AWARDS for BIG HORSE OPEN: Medals will be awarded to top three finishers in each weight class, and Champion Long Sleeve T-shirts. Awards for Top 3 teams, and AWARD FOR CHAMPION MOST PINS IN LEAST AMOUNT OF TIME AWARDS for COLT OPEN: Medals will be awarded to top three finishers in each weight class and BIG HORSE TOURNAMENT T-shirt for champions in each weight class.
