Frontier League Middle School Wrestling Tournament 2015 Hosted by Ottawa Middle School (at Ottawa High School) Date: Saturday, November 14, 2015 Time: The tournament begins at 9 a.m. – We will immediately start the next round at the completion of each round, except for a 30 minute lunch break. Location: Ottawa High School, 1120 S. Ash, Ottawa, KS 66053 Teams Participating: Baldwin, Eudora, Louisburg, Ottawa, Paola, Pioneer Ridge, Spring Hill, Trail Ridge, Wheat Ridge Seeding Meeting: The Seeding Meeting will take place at Ottawa High School at 6:30 pm on Friday, November 13th. Entries: All entries will be made online on trackwrestling.com and are due by 12:00 pm Thursday November 12th. A Brackets: Each school is allowed only one entry into the A bracket. If there is an opening, then a school can enter a second wrestler in a weight if they have one who is highly ranked. (An email will be sent regarding open spots on Thursday, November 12th.) B and C Brackets: Trackwrestling is set-up to allow each team only one wrestler in the B bracket, and one wrestler in the C bracket per weight class. If you have more than one wrestler to enter in a B or C bracket, email that entry to Brent Lane (laneb@usd290.org) with rating criteria. Pass List: Send a roster with Coaches, Administrators, Managers, etc.... If you need to add to your pass list, please email Austin Entress (entressa@usd290.org) at Ottawa Middle School by Thursday, November 12th. When you get on the bus headed for Ottawa, call or text Brent Lane(620-288-0030) with any scratches/changes OR if everyone is good to go. Thanks! Weight Classes: 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 127, 134, 141, 148, 155, 165, 180, 265 Rules: Periods will be set at 1:00, 1:30, 1:30. We will follow all KSHSAA rules. Format: The tournament will run on four mats, we intend to use an 8 man double elimination bracket for the A bracket, 4, 5, or 6-man pools for the B and C brackets. Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top (3) placers in the A bracket, and a ribbon will be awarded to champions of the B and C brackets. Hospitality Room: A hospitality room will be available to all coaches, administrators and bus drivers. No athletes or managers should be in the hospitality room. Admission: Admission is $3 for adults and $2 dollars for students. League passes will not be honored at this event. Coaches, Administrators and managers will be admitted free if their names are on the pass list. (No spectators will be allowed on the floor wrestling is taking place, they are only allowed in the stands. Please help keep parents back from the mats.) Concessions will be available.
