` HOLT WRESTLING INVITATIONAL Saturday, January 22, 2022 Location: Holt High School, 5885 W. Holt Rd. Holt, Michigan 48842 ***New Tournament Schedule*** Friday Night: Home weigh-in: Conducted according to MHSAA home weigh-in procedures. Saturday Morning: 7:30 a.m. Doors open 8:30 a.m. Coaches Meeting in the Wrestling Room. 9:00 a.m. Skin Check Saturday in the Wrestling Room. 9:30 a.m. Start Wrestling No concessions. We recommend teams bring ?sack lunch? type meals for their athletes. Dual Team Format We will be using Trackwrestling for those who can not attend the event. Pools of 4 to a bracket system. Each team will have the opportunity to wrestle 5 times provided we have a full 16 teams. Due to covid, please only bring your essential wrestlers. We will seed teams based on rankings and will also do our best to make sure teams from the same area are not in the same pool. If you see a team that you wrestle regularly let us know and we will do our best to separate. Athletic Trainer Will be present in case of injury, but each team is responsible for bringing taping supplies. Entry Fee $225 Awards Top 3 teams Masks Must be worn by coaches at all times. Wrestlers can unmask while competing. Spectators: Unfortunately, due to Covid, the Holt School District has limited their spectators at indoor athletic events. With a 16 team tournament, we do not have the capacity to allow spectators in addition to the wrestlers. Therefore, each team will be allowed 5 photographers/videographers to live stream their team?s performance. Holt has obtained the necessary approval from MHSAA to allow for live streaming. In addition to each school?s ability to live stream, Holt will also be streaming the entire event through the NFHS Network. Please submit your 5 photographer/videographer names to Athletic Director, Renee Sadler, by Noon on Friday, January 21, 2022. Roosevelt, Roseville, Portage Central, Holt#2, L`Anse Cruse, Traverse City Central, Walled Lake Central, East Kentwood. We have one opening that we are hoping to have filled before the meet.
