``PAC Individual Wrestling Championship

Location: Pottsgrove High School Gymnasium
In anticipation of the upcoming PAC Wrestling Championships please keep the following information in mind:
All seeding and brackets will be completed by Switch Sports. Seeding information will be sent out to coaches in advance and will be due on Wednesday, January 19th at 8:00am.
Tournament Schedule:
8:00am Weigh Ins by weight class in the auxiliary gymnasium
8:45am Coaches Meeting (Room #417)
9:00am National Anthem and Sportsmanship Announcement
9:05am Wrestling begins on 3 mats in the main gymnasium.
Please Note: We will run straight through with limited breaks for tournament staff and as wait time is needed. We will adhere to the 45-minute rule but will start when we are ready for wrestling. The final round will start at the same time and we will wrestle out to 6th place
COVID-19 Protocol - Masks must be worn at all times by everyone involved. Only wrestlers or officials who are actively engaged in competition do not have to wear masks. This is mandatory and it is the responsibility of the school to enforce this protocol with your program.
Neither Pottsgrove School District or the Conference will be responsible for any lost/stolen items. Wrestlers are encouraged to make sure any valuables are secured; lockers will be available so athletes can bring their own locks.
ATC`s will be at the tournament and available for taping needs. All schools must bring their own supplies for taping, any special instructions for taping must be provided as well.
Only coaches are permitted in the corners during wrestling (limit of 2). At no time will parents or other wrestlers be allowed to join a coach or substitute for another coach. In the event that a wrestler must wait for another match to conclude to have a coach in their corner, the match will either be held or placed back on ?deck? until a coach is available.
Scoreboards will be visible on all 3 mats.
Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the day for wrestlers and spectators.
Medals for place first, second, and third place will be awarded at the conclusion of the finals of the respective weight class.
PAC Individual Tournament Point Distribution:
2 team points for a win in the championship bracket
1 team point for a win in the consolation bracket
1 extra point if you win by a major
1.5 extra points if you win by a tech fall
2 extra points if you win by a pin, DQ, FFT, or Default
Placement Points (1st = 16, 2nd =12, 3rd = 9, 4th = 7, 5th = 5, 6th=3)
The order of where teams finish will count towards determination of the PAC Conference Champion. PAC Individual Tournament placement along with the dual meet records determine the conference champion.

The following will be used to determine a Conference Team Champion.

Placement in the PAC Individual Tournament
Note ? The individual wrestling tournament will aid in determining the Conference championship. Therefore, no competition points will be needed.
Point system.
Conference Champion decided by multiplying your number of divisional wins by four and adding that number to your placement in the individual tournament.
Conference Individual Tournament Team Placement Points
1st place = 20 points
2nd place = 18 points
3rd place = 16 points
4th place = 14 points
5th place = 12 points
6th place = 10 points
7th place = 8 points
6th place = 6 points
7th place = 4 points
8th place = 2 points
9th through 12th place = 0 Points
