Date: Friday Dec 12, Sat Dec 13 Site: Hermitage HS, 8301 Hungary Spring Road, Richmond, VA 23228 Format: 16 man individual brackets, team scores kept, top 4 in each weight place and medal. NOT wrestling for 5th or 6th. Mats: 6 mats used until Saturday around noon, then cut back to 4 in main gym. Tickets: Adults $8.00 per day or $15.00 two-day pass High School students: $5.00 per day or $8.00 two-day pass. Middle School & Under Free Faculty passes honored for faculty only, no children or spouses. Administrator & press passes honored, bus drivers receive 1 free pass. No discounts honored, this is a fundraiser not a regular school event. Schedule: Friday December 12 4:15 pm Weigh-ins (by teams) 5:45 pm Round 1 begins, action continue non-stop until 10 pm or earlier. Sat Dec 13 8:00 am - Weigh-ins (by teams) - doors open at 7:15 am 9:00 am - Wrestling begins, continues until end of tournament 4:00 pm - Finals (or earlier!) * Coaches are responsible for knowing the exact weight that their wrestlers must weigh in accordance with their state’s weight control program. Some wrestlers may have to make scratch weight; some might get a one pound growth allowance. The coach is responsible for tracking this and letting the weigh-in personnel know of the specifics of what each and every wrestler is allowed to weigh. Not paying attention to the rules of your state program may make your wrestler ineligible for certain weight classes. There are NO “Holiday Allowances” given for the tournament.
