Middleton is hosting a Middle School and Junior Varsity wrestling tournament on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Middleton High School. Middleton wrestling named the tournament the Dylan Lindeman Memorial Tournament (this is also the name on Trackwrestling) in honor of a Middleton wrestling alumni that lost his life in a car accident three years ago. You should have received an e-mail containing your Trackwrestling login information just prior to this email; please log in to the site the following day after receipt to make certain that everything is working correctly with your account.
A few items to note:
? Please arrive Saturday no later than 7:45am for weigh-ins to keep your day short.
? Please use on-site weigh-ins for middle school wrestlers; only a skin check will be conducted on-site Saturday morning beginning at 8:00am in the wrestling room.
? Please enter your wrestlers weights into Trackwrestling by 11:00 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 6.
? JV wrestlers are required to weigh-in shoulder to shoulder per WIAA regulations. Weigh-ins being at 8:00am in the small gym adjacent to the wrestling room entrance.
? Please enter JV wrestlers into Trackwrestling by 11:00 pm Wednesday, Dec 6; enter all information except weight.
? Scratches will be made upon arrival Saturday morning.
? A brief coaches meeting will be held in Room 1701 immediately following weigh-ins.
? Wrestlers in middle school will be bracketed first by weight (within 10 percent of their opponents), then by skill level, and then by team using a four-man round robin.
? Wrestlers in high school will be bracketed by weight class in 8 man brackets or larger.
? Wrestling will run on 8 mats in two separate gyms. In general, middle schoolers will wrestle in the varsity gym (four mats), and junior varsity will wrestle in the field house (four mats).
? All bouts will be scored electronically on Trackwrestling. Wrestlers will not be called to their mats; a running schedule of wrestlers on deck will be displayed on a projector in the concourse between the two gyms.
? Medals will be awarded for first through third place for both groups.
? Team trophies will be awarded.
