RE: Douglas Wrestling Invitational December 5, 2017
Douglas Middle School would like to invite you to the 2017 DMS Invitational Wrestling
Tournament, which is being held Tuesday, December 5, 2017
1. LOCATION: Douglas High School Gymnasium, 400 Patriot Dr. Please do not arrive
prior to 3:30 to the high school, as this will create traffic issues.
2. TIME: Coaches meeting at 4p.m. Wrestling begins as soon as possible following the
coaches meeting.
3. We will be running this tournament through Track Wrestling! Please send the
email address of the person who will be entering your wrestlers into Track
Wrestling to AnnDee Schmidt (anndee.schmidt@k12.sd.us) By no later than 3:00
PM November 30.
4. Wrestlers will be placed into a 4 man round-robin format if numbers allow.
5. A coaches meeting will be held at 4p. A hospitality room will be available for coaches
and drivers only on the stage in the main gym.
6. No Cheerleaders or spectators will be allowed mat side between the bleachers and the
mats.
7. WEIGHT DIVISIONS: Determined by the seeding committee.
8. TEAM POINTS: None will be kept.
9. Placing RIBBONS: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in each weight class of each division.
10. Please make arrangements for your valuables.
12. Wrestlers will report to the same mat for every match, wrestlers will need to watch
bout numbers at the tables. Each match will be timed with individual stop watches to
speed up the tournament.
13. THERE WILL BE A CONCESSION STAND.
