WELCOME TO THE 2018 OMRO WRESTLING TOURNAMENT January 6th Omro High School would like to welcome you to the Omro Wrestling Tournament. We ask for your assistance in helping us make this an enjoyable day for all involved. We ask all spectators to remain in the stands; please do not block walkways surrounding the mats. All videotaping must be completed in the stands, no one except wrestlers called on deck are allowed to be at mat side. We ask that all wrestlers and spectators do not bring glass containers into the gym. A concession stand is located in the commons to the west of the gym. Please dispose of beverage containers and food wrappers in garbage cans. Your help in these matters is greatly appreciated. The following schedule of events is planned for the 2018 Omro Tournament. We will attempt to follow the plan as close as possible, but please realize that these times are approximate and may vary throughout the day. Schools Attending: Omro, Berlin, Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Chilton/Hilbert, Freedom, Hustisford, Kewaunee, Kiel, Necedah, Oakfield, and Wautoma. (11 Schools) Time Line: 7:00 School Opens ? A list of your wrestlers will be available. 8:00-8:45 Weigh-ins ? Omro Team Wrestling Room 9:00-9:30 Coaches Meeting ? Remember that this is a pre-seeded invitational. This means that you cannot ask for a higher seed. 9:45 - 10:00 We will attempt to start wrestling as soon as we can. Format: This tournament is pre-seeded. Depending on how many wrestlers are in the bracket will determine the bracket type. 8 Man Scramble Format 2 10 Man Scramble Format 2 Place 8 5 Man Round Robin Coaches, I was hoping to go paperless this year. However doing some preliminary steps we have found that the signal in our gym may not be strong enough. I do not want any delays this day so we will be using bout sheets and your wrestler will be called to the mat Entry Fee: $175.00 There will be 3 full mats ? all rounds. Each Wrestler will have a potential of 5 matches, depending on how many wrestlers are in their weight class. Awards presentations will take place on the south/east end of the gym. We ask that all spectators refrain from standing in this area so photos can be taken. Top Team will receive a plaque and the top 3 wrestlers will receive a medal. Bracket sheets will be located in the commons on the Trophy Cases. These bracket sheets will be updated throughout the day for those keeping track in their programs.
