As of 8:10 PM on Thursday January 12th, registration was closed as we reached the maximum registrants please register for the Danbury tournament if interested.

All wrestlers will be grouped by both age category and weight into 4-man brackets. Each wrestler will wrestle one-another giving each wrestler a total of 3 matches (round-robin format). There are many advantages to doing this. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place wrestlers.

Notice:

Brackets for Female matches will be completed via online registration. Brackets for 12U and Middle School Girls, will Wrestle in the AM Session. Brackets for 6U, 8U and 10U Girls will wrestle in the afternoon Session. The female wrestlers may wrestle in the Coed brackets during normal scheduled sessions and in Female brackets as stated above have a second entry fee.

A wrestler can move up one age group with the permission of provided the entry is done online during registration. A wrestler can only compete in one bracket for each session, either the morning or afternoon session. The only division that can wrestle in both morning and afternoon is the 10U division, because the wrestler can wrestle in the morning session as an 10U and move up one division to 12U for the afternoon session The request to change division must be done on line during registration

Registration and payment are done on-line by Flo-arena

All wrestlers must check in by the end of the Skin check-in time period to verify they do not have any contagious skin conditions. Wrestlers will be removed from the tournament if they are not checked in on time 8:30 for morning session and 12:45 for afternoon session

It is the responsibility of the Club Directors, or the designated person for that club, to check with the head person running the Skin check in area to see if any of their wrestlers have not checked in by 8:30am for the morning session and 12:45 pm for the afternoon session.

Head gear will be required for all age groups this is a USA Wrestling rule.

ALL WRESTLERS WITH BRACES ON THEIR TEETH MUST HAVE PROTECTIVE MOUTH GUARDS

Weigh-Ins- Each wrestler’s weight must adequately represent the weight that they will be come tournament morning. Every wrestler will be required to check-in the morning of the tournament to be weighed and get a skin check.

                        

All Wrestlers will report for skin check and be weighed in before Tournament starts.  There will be a 3lb weight allowance from registered weight. Any excessive weight differences will be reported. This Rule applies to all Tournaments. 

When weighing-in, each wrestler must weigh-in wearing a competition singlet

Weight Classes: A Madison weight class system will be followed. All wrestlers will be grouped relative to both their age and weight. There are no published and strict weight classes to follow during the regular season. The maximum weight distribution will be no more than 10%, without coaches’ approval.

All tournaments require pre-registration (no refunds for no shows). Absolutely NO Walk-ins

All wrestlers are required to have a current USA Wrestling membership.

Wrestlers in need of a card should contact their club director or purchase them on www.usawmembership.com.

Tournament registration fees are $25 for each individual, $20 for 2nd, $15 for any additional family members.
