This game will feature a Lone Star Conference between newly ranked No. 23 Angelo State football and Western Oregon at 1:05 p.m. ET on Nov. 9 at McArthur Field in Monmouth, OR.
These two teams in Central Washington football and Sul Ross State should make for an interesting matchup in the Lone Star Conference at 6 p.m. ET on Nov. 9 at Steve Hertling Field at Tomlinson Stadium in Ellensburg, WA.
If one game this week goes one way, the Lone Star Conference football championship for the 2024 season is done and dusted for good.

Two weeks ago, Central Washington was a Top 10 team and a sure favorite to win the Lone Star Conference. Then, they lost to a UT Permian Basin team that is led by a backup quarterback, who while talented, is not the same as their starter who led the conference in numerous categories. Now they sit at No. 20 in the polls, attempting to climb back up, as they are behind Angelo State and Western Oregon in the LSC standings as well with that blemish.
A week after suffering a hard loss to Angelo State in which they lost their star quarterback, UT Permian Basin found themselves upsetting a then Top 10 team in Central Washington. Then, last week they suffered a heartbreaking 30-27 overtime loss to a Western Oregon team that has turned it on in conference play, now sitting atop the standings.
Angelo State football has dominated the Lone Star Conference, sitting at 5-0 in conference with its only two blemishes being in the preseason. After a tight LSC opener, the Rams have breezed past the competition, looking more and more dominant with each passing week.
