Abdurakhmonov is a two-time World Championships bronze medalist who competes in freestyle for his home country of Uzbekistan. He earned his first bronze medal in 2014 at 70 kg, and his second in 2018 at 74 kg. He is also a two-time Asian Games gold medalist.
