As one of the four men's freestyle weight classes with no returning medalist waiting in Final X, the 125kg division will be contested at the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament. And, unsurprisingly, in the year before the Olympics, a cavalcade of quality heavies will be rumbling onto the mats in Colorado Springs to try and earn the Team USA starting gig.

Below is a list of every men's freestyle wrestler that is qualified for the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament on May 20 - 21 and how they qualified. The 2022 World Team Trials are set to go down in Coralville, Iowa May 21-22. This tournament will set the top two wrestlers at every weight who will wrestle-off for the world team spot in June at Final X. Seeds for the trials likely won't be released until a few days prior to the tournament, but because of its importance, we decided to predict what the top 7-8 seeds at each weight will look like. The US Open finally returns, and with it, a chance for the top senior level contenders to qualify for the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament in May, which determines who participates in Final X. Challenge Tournament seeds will also largely be determined by the results from the Open.

Now that the Olympic Trials are over, we’ll begin to see some of USA’s best migrate to new weights as they look toward the 2021 World Team Trials in September. Let’s look at some of the most notable athletes changing weight this weekend at the US Open.

Junior and Senior Nationals are a few days away, and registrations are looking solid. Take a look at everyone who's registered to compete for spots on the Junior World Team or in the Senior World Team Trials.

The 2021 US Olympic Trials go down this weekend. All the action will be streamed either through NBC Sports Network or NBC's Peackock streaming service. Meanwhile, we'll have a watch party live throughout the trials to keep wrestling fans in the loop. Olympic Trials week is finally here! Before official seeds come out later in the week, I wanted to take my best guess at how the seeding committee will see things. 

Each dual at the RTC Cup has just six matches, so one upset could change the whole outcome. Check out six guys who just might be poised to knock someone off in Cincinnati.

While 97kg has the fewest entries in men's freestyle at Senior Nationals, there's not a lot of fluff which should make for some enticing matchups. Kyle Snyder's at the top, and he'll be joined by four more of the nation's top ten as well as 8 college studs that will look to prove themselves on the senior level.

Over the course of the last 15 years of teaching, coaching, and traveling for this sport, one of the things that makes me scratch my head the most about wrestling in this country is the fact that more coaches are not teaching and reinforcing an outside step single leg.
