The Big Ten, the nation's toughest and deepest college wrestling conference will hold their championship on Saturday and Sunday, March 9-10 in the Xfinity Center on the University of Maryland's College Park campus, and no we have the pressed for the tournament!

The 2023 Big Ten Wrestling Championships are set to go down March 4-5 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and will feature some of the nation's best wrestlers on their quest to NCAAs. We should get the "official" seeds for Big 10's in the next 7-10, and that gives us plenty of time to speculate and predict what they might be. U20 Nationals (formerly known as UWW Junior Nationals) is one of my favorite age-level tournaments every year. The top high school upperclassmen get to test themselves against the best first or second year college guys who are often hungry to compete coming out of redshirt. It's the first step in making the Junior World Team as the winner of this event will earn an automatic berth to the best-of-three wrestle-off series against the World Team Trials challenge tournament champion in June.

The anticipation for Super 32 has been building all week, and we are almost here. Always a fascinating tournament as we get our first look at kids who have made huge jumps over the summer, freshmen entering the fray, and, most importantly, studs from states that have limited travel during the regular season. That last little nugget allows us to have a literal clash of the titans at heavyweight this year, and I think you all know I am giddy with anticipation.

Let’s get right to the point: It is a rare occasion when we are afforded the opportunity to see the top two heavyweights battle in folkstyle. Unlike the lighter weights, the combination of football participation and the restrictions certain states apply to travel conspire to make it nearly impossible for the big boys to put it all on the line early in the season.
