One of my favorite age-level tournaments of the year has arrived - the Junior World Team Trials. The nation’s best high school upperclassmen and college underclassmen will put it on the line for a chance to represent their country overseas.

The U23 Nationals and U20 World Team Trials brackets will be both massive (mostly the U23 ones) and stacked with some of the most talented and credentialed college wrestlers in the country.

Below is a partial list of NCAA D1 lightweight wrestlers (125, 133, 141) who are returning and will contest for a varsity spot after at least one year.

Cory Land has the pedigree to start right now for the UNI Panthers, he’s got a U17 Greco World silver medal, and he won Fargo this year in freestyle and made the finals in Greco. Whether Land will actually punch a ticket on the PantherTrain this season still remains to be seen, but the staff knows that they have a lightweight to fill the hole left by Brody Teske in the future.

Fargo is often the last major tournament before incoming freshman-level up to college competition. It's also an event where committed underclassmen in high school test their might against the rest of the country.

The biggest Fargo ever is going to be packed with nationally ranked wrestlers. Here are all the boys we could find in the 16U and Junior freestyle registrations that also appear in the national high school rankings.

New Fargo rosters are in, and this time it's Michigan, Nebraska, Alaska, Virginia, North Dakota, and Alabama. Those six states boast nearly 30 ranked wrestlers including three girls ranked #1 in the country, Sabrina Nauss, Cecelia Williams, and Eliana Bommarito. the U20 division at the US Open attracts some of the most ambitious high schoolers and young college wrestlers, and the U17 World Team Trials are one of the pinnacles in the sport. As a result, more than 100 ranked high school wrestlers will be in action in Las Vegas this weekend. Check out the ranked wrestlers and their full fields below.
