Artem Surkov has enjoyed a long and successful career competing for Russia and things don't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. The Greco - Roman wrestler began his international journey as a cadet winning a bronze medal at the European championships. Surkov made his senior level debut in 2012 with a bronze medal at the Herman Kare tournament and in 2013 finished as the runner - up at the junior European championships. Surkov went full time on the senior level in 2014 taking silver at the world cup and repeating the performance in 2015. 2015 was a succesful campaign for Surkov as he won the U23 European championships, the European games, and was a bronze medalist at the world championships.
