As a native and product of Davison, Michigan, Barr has looked to carry the torch that was passed to him by winning the Fargo junior freestyle nationals in the summer of 2021. Barr has seen success going back to his youth days winning titles at the MYWAY Northeast regional and MYWAY youth state championships in 2015. Barr also saw freestyle and greco success early winning double titles at the Michigan USA kid state tournament.
