The only two teams to win the National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships met at the Adrian Duals on Saturday.

Three of four World Championships are complete following a historic performance by the U.S. women’s freestyle team in Belgrade, Serbia. The team finished second behind Japan and crowned three individual World champions and won seven total medals.

Kayla Miracle and Jennifer Rogers had quite a best-of-three series on August 13. Miracle — a 2021 World silver medalist — postponed her Final X match with Rogers due to an injury. The two met in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to determine the 62 kg spot in the upcoming Senior World Championships.

U.S. women placed fourth at the U17 World Championships (formerly known as Cadet Worlds) in Rome on the strength of three silver medalists.
