This year's U17 US Open is as deep as any tournament in recent memory. There aren't many top high schoolers who haven't registered, so wrestling fans should expect to see some of the best high school action of the year with a whole lot at stake. Here's what to expect at every weight.

On the Senior level, the US Open will set the stage for Final X, but there's plenty to watch at the U17 and U20 divisions as well. The U17 division will conclude with a best-of-three series that will decide the World Team, shake up the high school rankings, and establish some wrestlers' cases to be in Who's Number One. High Schoolers in the U20 division will compete against other elite peers but will also test themselves against guys who have been seasoned in college rooms for a year or two.

Bishop McCort's lightweight depth will be on display Sunday as #6 Mason Gibson and #3 Jax Forrest will compete against one another in the quarterfinals of the Ultimate Freestyle Duals. Gibson is a junior and Forrest is a freshman.

Powerade is a must-watch event on the national high school calendar, and this year's field is no exception. 50 top-20 ranked wrestlers will be in attendance along with a ton of talent ranked just outside the top 20. This year's Walsh Jesuit Ironman is absolutely loaded. Nearly 100 registered wrestlers are ranked in the top 20 in the country, and over half of those are ranked in the top 10. Opening weekend is an exciting time to see who made jumps in the off-season and who is still isn't in postseason shape yet. College wrestling season is finally here! Things get kicked off this weekend with the likes of the Southeast Open, Princeton Open, and Clarion Open among other events.

Every fall we see some of the best high schoolers in the country travel to Greensboro, N.C. to battle it out for a Super 32 belt. It seems every season that the brackets at Super 32 become deeper and deeper, with many ranked guys entered into each weight class. This weekend will be no different. Currently, there are over 160 guys ranked in the top 20 in their weight class entered for the 2022 Super 32.

There's nothing quite like Super 32. This year's field includes over 60% of the nation's 280 top-twenty-ranked wrestlers. That group includes eight of 14 #1's and six weights where the two highest-ranked wrestlers at the weight could square off for the number one spot.
