Iowa State posted their best NCAA finish in the Kevin Dresser era last season at 11th. The introduction of the transfer portal keeps college wrestling news entertaining year-round now, and this year is no different. 2023 All-American Izzak Olejnik entered the portal on Monday and 2X All-American Chris Cannon followed suit on Tuesday. This year's #5 seed at 125, Caleb Smith of App State also entered. All three of those were graduate transfers. While he hasn't started for the Cowboys in his two years at Oklahoma State, Travis Mastrogiovanni was a high recruit coming out of high school and it could be a sign that his brother, Trevor, could enter as well. Garrett Grice was #59 on the 2022 Big Board. He will be an excellent pickup with four years of eligibility for whatever team lands him.
