2023-24 NCAA DI Rankings
133 - Ryan Crookham
Ryan Crookham is the new #1 at 133 pounds based on his wins over returning NCAA champion Vito Arujau and formerly ranked #6 Connor McGonagle (Crookham's teammate). While it's rare for an unranked wrestler to move to #1, Crookham would have been ranked in the 9-12 range based on his win last year over #12 Kurt Phipps and only losing to Chris Cannon. Beyond that, Arujau didn't have a spotless record last season losing to Sam Latona - a loss that's similar to Crookham's Cannon loss.
Freshman Nasir Bailey defeated Zeke Seltzer at the Tiger Style Invite and moves into the rankings at #27 just ahead of Seltzer.
Marlon Yarbrough took out Ethan Oakley in a high-scoring 18-12 match at the Mountaineer Invitational. Oakley drops a few spots but holds at #17 based on his wins last season over Dom Zaccone and Brayden Palmer.
Braden Basile is the final new wrestler to the rankings after he defeated Dustin Norris and Gable Strickland.
