2023-24 NCAA DI Rankings
125 - Anthony Noto
Every week at 125 is filled with Chaos so it's no surprise that there were some wild results again this week.
Stevo Poulin won the Southern Scuffle where he defeated Nico Provo in the finals. Because Poulin just lost 2 weeks ago to Jett Strickenberger, Provo drops rather than Poulin rising.
We also chose to move Caleb Smith above Matt Ramos because of Smith's head-to-head win over Ramos this year.
While we don't normally count injury defaults, we chose to drop Figueroa a few spots because of his lack of results on the year.
Luke Stanich jumps into the rankings after winning Midlands while recording victories over Eric Barnett, Cooper Flynn, Eli Griffin, and Diego Sotelo.
While Flynn lost to Barnett and Stanich, he recorded in overtime win over Noah Surtin to hold his spot at 11.
Ayala moves up five spots after winning the Soldier Salute where he defeated Jore Volk and Patrick McKee. Volk is tricky to rank because he has wins over Caleb Smith and Richard Figueroa but has now lost to Brandon Kaylor, Drake Ayala, Noah Surtin, and Nico Provo. Those 4 losses are enough to drop Volk out of the top 10 for now.
Brayden Palmer lost to unranked Chad Bellis at the Southern Scuffle and drops 11 spots. While Palmer did win the Clarion Open the first weekend of the year, he's wrestled sparingly since then and hasn't recorded any ranked wins on the season. That, combined with the chaos at 125 isn't enough to hold Palmer in the rankings.
