2023-24 National Girls High School Wrestling Rankings

Pound-For-Pound

USA Wrestling, FloWrestling and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum have published the May 2024 rankings for high school girls wrestlers for the 2023-24 season. This national ranking evaluates all girls enrolled in grades 8-12, and athletes from all 50 states are eligible for selection.

This is the final ranking of the 2023-24 season, and includes all of the wrestlers who competed this year, including those who are graduating seniors. It is being timed prior to the biggest and most prestigious event of the season, the 2024 USMC Junior/16U Nationals in Fargo, N.D., July 12-20.

These rankings were heavily influenced by the major post-season national events, including the USA Wrestling National Duals at the 16U and Junior levels, as well as six of the USA Wrestling Regional Championships. Many other large events for high school and middle school girls were reviewed in the selection.

Due to the changing of weight classes, there is only one new No. 1 ranked athlete, senior Chloe Dearwester of Ohio at 105 pounds.

Hailey Delgado of Texas (95), Morgan Turner of Illinois (100), Audrey Jimenez of Arizona (110), Isabella Marie Gonzales of California (115), Karlee Brooks of Arizona (120), Everest Leydecker of Arizona (125), Aubre Krazer of Pennsylvania (130), Taina Fernandez of Maryland (135), Bella Williams of Oklahoma (140), Sydney Perry of Illinois (145), Jasmine Robinson of Texas (155), Piper Fowler of Tennessee (170), Sabrina Nauss of Michigan (190) and Gemma Templeman of California (235).

The 95-pound weight class, which is not a national weight class for the state high school associations, has been extended from 10 athletes to 20 in this ranking, based upon results at USA Wrestling National Duals and Regional Championships. This will be expanded to 30 in the fall, and then will be suspended again during the regular high school season.

The final Pound-For-Pound rankings for the year have also been published.

The next national high school wrestling rankings will be published in the fall, and will not include graduated seniors, and will include incoming eighth graders.

Coaches, parents and athletes are encouraged to provide information about specific athletes and their achievements throughout the year for the committee to consider. If they have information on specific girls who should be considered for ranking or updates on their achievements, please send it by email to girlsrankings@usawrestling.org. The quality of these rankings continue to improve as people choose to share updated information.

The committee is specifically seeking more information on athletes for the 95-pound rankings, who must have been in grades 8-12 during the 2023-24 scholastic year.
