2024-25 NCAA DI Wrestling Rankings
141 - Jesse Mendez
Andrew Alirez has only 5 matches on the year and didn't wrestle against #5 Cael Happel on Saturday after wrestling the day prior at National Duals. Because of that, we chose to move Jesse Mendez into the top spot at 141 pounds. Beyond Alirez's inactivity, Mendez has been spectacular this season with an 18-0 record that includes wins over #3 Beau Bartlett, #4 Tagen Jamison, #7 Josh Koderhandt, and several other ranked wrestlers. We felt that Mendez's success against high-level competition and Alirez's inactivity were enough to make the change at the top.
CJ Composto drops a spot after losing to Julian Tagg but holds at #13 for his win this year over Joey Olivieri. With his win, Tagg rises to #24 but holds there because of his losses on the year to Jace Rhodes, Jameson Garcia, and Michael Olson.
Jacob Frost moves to #14 after defeating Dylan Chappell.
