2024-25 National High School Girls Wrestling Rankings
140 pounds
USA Wrestling, FloWrestling and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum has published the National Rankings for high school girls wrestlers for November 2024. This national ranking evaluates all girls enrolled in grades 8-12, and athletes from all 50 states are eligible for selection.
This ranking included the major preseason competitions, including Who’s Number One, Super 32, the USA Wrestling Preseason Nationals, the Ultimate Club Championships, the Journeymen World Classic, the Freak Show and many others.
There have been a number of changes among the #1 ranked individuals. There were four new #1 wrestlers in the rankings — Jaclyn Bouzakis of Pennsylvania (100), Kayla Batres of Connecticut (110), Isabella Marie Gonzales of California (120) and Violette Lasure of Pennsylvania (145).
Two #1 wrestlers moved up in weight class and remained at #1 in their new weight class — Morgan Turner of Illinois (105) and Epenesa Elison of California (115).
Remaining at #1 at the same weight class are Hailey Delgado of Texas (95), Everest Leydecker of Arizona (125), Aubre Krazer of Pennsylvania (130), Taina Fernandez of Maryland (135), Bella Williams of Oklahoma (140), Kaili Manuel of Michigan (155), Piper Fowler of Tennessee (170), Brooke Huffman of Wisconsin (190) and Tirza Twoteeth of Montana (235).
Please note that the 95-pound weight class rankings will not be updated during the regular season, as a vast majority of high school state associations do not utilize this weight class. It will return to the rankings during the post-season in the spring, when the weight will be contested in major national and international events.
The Pound-For-Pound (P-4-P) rankings were also updated. There No. 1 P-4-P athlete, 2024 U17 World champion Taina Fernandez of Maryland, remained at the top. Rounding out the top five are #2 Morgan Turner of Illinois, #3 Isabella Marie Gonzales of California, #4 Piper Fowler of Tennessee and #5 Jaclyn Bouzakis of Pennsylvania.
The next National Girls High School Ranking will be in early January and will cover all of the action during the official high school season until New Year's Day.
Also coming up in late November of 2024 will be the Preseason National Girls High School Team Rankings.
