The Flo 40: High School Wrestling Preseason Team Rankings

The high school wrestling season is almost here, and to get you ready we're introducing The Flo 40 — the list of the top teams in the country. Perennial powers Wyoming Seminary and Blair Academy and star-studded Pennsylvania forces Bishop McCort and Faith Christian Academy headline the preseason rankings.

The Flo 40 team rankings are based on current-year rosters and current-year data once we get into the season.

15	Detroit Catholic Central	MI	Nine state medalists are back for tradition-rich Michigan squad.
16	Christian Brothers Academy	NJ	Three ranked wrestlers lead a squad with nine returning state qualifiers.
17	Buchanan	CA	Traditional California power has a pair of nationally ranked wrestlers.
18	Brownsburg	IN	Defending Indiana state champs have three nationally ranked wrestlers.
19	Clovis	CA	Perennial California contender has three ranked wrestlers.
20	Bethlehem Catholic	PA	Eight state qualifiers are back from 2024 PIAA AAA championship team.
21	Camden County	GA	Georgia state champs have eight wrestlers back who placed third or better in '24.
22	Sunnyside	AZ	Top Arizona program has another deep and talented team.
23	Malvern Prep	PA	Nine placewinners return from team that finished third at Prep Nationals.
24	Dundee	MI	Eight state medalists who placed third or better are back.
25	Greens Farms Academy	CT	Finished fifth at National Preps last season.
26	Pomona	CO	Nine state medalists are back, including seven who placed in the top three.
27	Crown Point	IN	Seven state medalists return for traditional Indiana power.
28	Liberty	MO	Eight returning state qualifiers, seven medalists and two champs are back.
29	St. John Vianney	NJ	Top-ranked Anthony Knox leads a team with four nationally-ranked individuals.
30	Allen	TX	Eight state medalists are back, including seven who placed in the top three.
31	Southeast Polk	IA	Iowa power has 10 state qualifiers back, led by five who placed in top three.
32	Marmion Academy	IL	Multiple state medalists are back for one of the top programs in Illinois.

34	Don Bosco	IA	Tradition-rich Iowa program is led by a pair of nationally ranked wrestlers.
35	Massillon Perry	OH	Nine state medalists are back.
36	Tuttle	OK	Oklahoma power features eight state medalists who placed fourth or better in '24.
37	Ponaganset	RI	New England champs are expected to be strong once again.

39	Bettendorf	IA	10 state qualifiers return with five medalists and one champ.
